Brick Veneer Foundation Transformation

The Challenge
The lower portion of the wall had been left as bare concrete, visibly cracked and worn, sitting awkwardly beneath the home's original brick facing. My Approach
Every job, big or small, gets the same level of attention on my end. I studied the existing brick pattern closely — the coursing, the mortar color, the slight weathering in the reds and browns — and sourced material that would sit naturally alongside it rather than standing out. I worked methodically along the base of the wall, protecting the surrounding garden bed as I went, and kept the same joint width and tooling style used on the original brickwork so the new courses would read as a natural continuation of the old in this home in Fairhaven, NJ
THE TRANSFORMATION
Course by course, the cracked concrete disappeared behind clean, level brickwork that carries the same warm reds and browns as the wall above it. What was once an obvious seam between old and new is now a single, continuous run of brick down to the soil line — solid, tidy, and built to hold up in a garden setting for years to come.
