The Challenge

My Approach
Rather than patch the cracked concrete and hope it held, I resurfaced the steps and wrapped each riser in a clean brick veneer, giving the structure both a stronger finished face and a more refined look. I kept the tread depth and step proportions consistent with the original stoop so the new steps would feel just as solid underfoot, and I took care with the brick coursing along each riser so the pattern stayed even from the bottom step all the way up to the landing at the door.
